Sony Research Brand Identity

Project Team
Creative Lead: Allie Fisher
Design Directors: Charlie Herrmann, Stravinski Pierre
Senior Designer: Jenna Klein
Senior Copywriter: Hannah Sanderson
Designer: Avery Fowles

Project Description
In 2023, Sony established a new subsidiary with the mission to “pioneer the future of creation.” Sony Research will undertake research and development of unprecedented disruptive technologies that aim to empower creators around the world to maximize their creativity, the value of their IP, and fan engagement.

This visual system is rooted in two complementary ideas: vibrancy and wonder. Through abstract, undefined gradients, we bring together all areas of the Sony Research ecosystem. This rich blend ensures no individual voice or single idea is loudest, and emphasizes that we are constantly in motion—always changing and evolving.

This vibrancy is grounded in a world of wonder, where thought-provoking illustrations capture both our imagination and the possibility of what's to come—grounding the abstract in the real. This visual system amplifies creators and their creations, evoking a sense of wonder while showcasing data and creativity in a clear and considered way.
